We use wild-caught sockeye salmon from the Northern Atlantic Ocean. The skins are used to make our natural dog treats, and the rest of the salmon is edible and goes towards human consumption (filets, sushi, lox, etc.)
These salmon skins are so fresh, there may be a small amount of oil pooling at the bottom of the bag, which is safe for pet consumption.
Health Benefits: Salmon skins are nutritious, and a natural source of omega-3 fatty acids, protein (including lots of collagen), vitamins (such as vitamin D and B vitamins), and minerals (such as phosphorus).
