Description: Two pieces of 24" Collagen Sticks per bag - this is a BIG chew! Sourced from free range, grass fed beef.

Our 24" Collagen Sticks are less processed and more easily digestible when compared to traditional dog rawhide chews. These Collagen Sticks are made from a layer of tissue called the dermis, which is nutritious (made of about 70% collagen) and has a firm and elastic texture. 

Recommended for: Large or giant dogs, due to its massive size. Depending on your dog and their caloric needs, you may opt to take this treat away after the end of a chewing session and offer it multiple times over the course of a number of days. 

Key Benefits: Collagen is a naturally occurring protein found in the skins, bones, and cartilage of cows. Bovine collagen may have numerous benefits, such as helping alleviate osteoarthritis symptoms, preventing bone loss, and improving skin and coat health. Nice treat for multiple chew sessions

The collagen sticks are great! I use them several times a week to help my dog manage his anxious, busy brain. My pup refuses to engage with non-edible sticks like Benebone, and collagen is lower calorie than other long-lasting chews like thick or jumbo bully sticks. The sticks are hard but soften with gnawing. I always supervise to confirm my dog is gnawing, not biting, the stick. He's not a resource guarder so after about 15-20 minutes of chewing, I am able to trade him for kibble or other treats and save the rest for next time. Most of the time I get 3 chew sessions per stick, but they vary in thickness and hardness so sometimes it's as few as 2 sessions or as many as 6.
